Can you describe a time when you had to manage a team under tight deadlines? What strategies did you use?

So my current role at Berlialectricals are my team. When I had actually joined them last year, I realized that the team was already overstressed and we were consistently, you know, missing our deadlines in the beginning. Even I missed my deadlines a couple of them in the beginning. And then that's where.That, you know, something was not going right somewhere. So I took a pause, you know, I slightly took a pause and then I arranged a lot of one-on-one discussions with the team members. I tried to understand and these meetings are called stereo meetings. I engage in an, you know, open communication and in a very.Collaborative in a very respectful manner so that everyone's being heard, everyone's concerns are being heard. And I tried understanding their prioritize some of them, you know, if you could really deprioritize some of them, there were a lot of competing tasks. So because of which you know, the team was not able to manage.How I mean to progress forward and that's when we decided we connect and we we work on our deadlines, we engage in a lot of you know, we engage in these meetings and twice a weekly basis. So every Monday we used to get together, we used to discuss our work priorities every Friday we used to.Analyze, you know, how far have it come if there's any cost correction that's needed in the, you know, way of going forward? So keeping all these strategies in mind, you know, you know, assessment and communication, then of course, prioritization and then, you know, and then in the last, I'd say it's going to be, you know, ensuring that the quality.The work is not compromised and we move forward from there.

Uh, the way to go about it would be that I first prioritize my own time zone. I would ensure that, you know, whatever working hours I have, I dedicate myself, uh, to them fully. Uh, however, if there is a colleague who's sitting across the globe and, you know, he's dependent on me for something that.Work in advance, you know, during my work hours of course, and I would try and finish off work and submit to him a day before so that even he has some, you know, even he has time to go through it in detail in case if we need to, you know, connect back on something we can do that over a days time.And yes, if needed it, it needs to be done in a very respectful manner. I respect everyone's time zone so that, you know, if I can really manage, you know, coming on a call at a different time, you know, outside my working hours and I should be OK with it if it's happening, you know, on an occasional pace and expect the same respect.My colleagues also, because I remember when I was in Xerox, you know, one of my colleagues was based out of the US and you know, we had completely, you know, 180° time zones. And a lot of times I used to come at a time when, you know, it was comfortable for her to manage. And then a lot of times, you know, she used to come.Time when it was comfortable for me to take that call. So I think, like I said, I think a lot depends on the way you have your relationship with your colleagues, the way you communicate with them, the way you're respectful about their own, you know.Schedule, so it all needs to be balanced in one way. I'm not saying that every time I will be doing every time they are expected to do. It needs to have a very good blend of, you know, all of you all working together. So I think that's how I have prioritized task when I'm working. But yes, it totally depends, you know, what's the deadline.Like I said, if one of my colleagues is depending on my work, I'll see what's the deadline and I'll try and work two or three days ahead of it.
