Interview Question:

Can you describe your experience with recruiting and onboarding new employees?

Candidate's Answer:

When I'm recruiting an onboarding I'm overseeing the process from start to finish so it starts with the phone screen on my behalf then I recommend it to the manager if I believe they're ready for that and then once I received their notes back we decide if we will extend the offer or not if we do then I end up launching their background checks as well as their online onboarding package through our HRI systems that we use and then I track their progress throughout that until I'm able to get them in for their first day once I have them in for their first day we go over all of their paperwork including their own nines as well as get them in our systems and I manage all of our system access as well I've recently taken over this part and I would like to kind of make it more personalized hopefully in the coming days but I've just started so I'm still just kind of like feeling wasted the process but I really would like to get it more on a case-by-case basis making it feel more specialized for the employee

AI Evaluation:

You have described the steps you take from the initial phone screen to tracking progress through onboarding, including launching background checks and online onboarding packages. Adding more detail and real-life examples will make your answer more compelling and demonstrate your expertise in this area.

How do you ensure confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information?

Candidate's Answer:

I don't know I'm having a hard time with this question I don't know

AI Evaluation:

Your answer to the question about ensuring confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information was not ideal. It is important to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of confidentiality in HR roles, as handling employee information is a critical aspect of the job.

To improve your answer, you could have mentioned specific measures you would take to ensure confidentiality, such as limiting access to confidential information, keeping physical files locked, using secure passwords for electronic files, and only sharing information on a need-to-know basis. Additionally, you could have emphasized the importance of maintaining trust with employees and the organization by upholding confidentiality standards.

Overall, your answer was lacking in depth and did not demonstrate a strong understanding of the topic. I would rate your answer a 1/5.
